Pictures of Yourself

It’s almost always good to have a picture of yourself. Most of us were brought up to feel that it’s selfish, but it’s much easier for someone to get a feel for who you are and whether they want to come see you if you put a picture. There are several other reasons, ranging from the coldly scientific to the new-agey:

  1. Statistically, three times as many people will look at an ad or flyer if it has a picture of a person on it.
  2. The more your put yourself out, and express your essence to the universe, the more you will be rewarded for it. Using a picture of yourself is a great way to do this.
  3. If you actually want to make a living, you need to become a person that people want to come see. This is not egotistical, it’s just that usually it’s really you and not the commodity you have that is valuable. For this reason, it is important to create name recognition.
